What is the GRIT Study?The G.R.I.T. Study is the first global app-based registered clinical trial for patients with metabolic disorders. It uses a mobile health journal, Zamplo, to record patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in patients with metabolic disorders.www.zamplo.org/
Rare diseases are understudied, leading to a shortage of patient health data. This negatively impacts clinical decision-making as it relies on the collection of sufficient patient health data. The M.A.G.I.C. Clinic and Zamplo have come together to solve this problem through the G.R.I.T. Study. |

A control group is vital to a clinical studies success: They provide us with a comparison group to evaluate if the app is effective in the current treatment and care for rare disease patients.
We will also learn how effective the current health system is in supporting patients living with rare diseases. |

The study is being conducted by M.A.G.I.C. Clinic Ltd., the largest metabolic clinic in Alberta.
M.A.G.I.C. Clinic will provide patients with access to Zamplo to evaluate its utility in managing the symptoms of their disease. |
